Help with things like benefits and housing

13th September 2020

As well as helping out with food poverty, the Food Bank is able to point people to other places that might help with things like benefits and housing and we also have access to a trained worker who’ll give help with budgeting and debt. Some people pop in for food and stay for a chat as well – we’re becoming a busy place.

This week we’re short of long-life milk, biscuits, milk, cereal (not porridge), puddings (e.g. custard, rice pudding, microwave long life sponges) and laundry products (tabs, liquid or powder). You can donate in the Co-op or by popping things in the church porch on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.

Thank you!

Opening hours

We're open to anyone and you don't need a referral or voucher. Just come along on a Saturday morning between 10.30 and 12 at St Edmund's Church.

Donations can be left in both Co ops, in Tesco or the porch of St Edmund’s on any day.

There is also a box for food donations, along with a ‘Most Wanted This Week’ whiteboard, at the new Tesco store in Church Street.
